Kawartha Conservation: Water Fund Grant Program

The below is an email that has been pulled from an email sent to us from Kawartha Conservation.

I’m writing to let you know that Kawartha Conservation’s Water Fund grant program is now accepting applications until April 30th, 2023. The Water Fund is a cost-sharing program that supports landowners in Kawartha Lakes and Durham Region to implement environmental projects by covering up to 50% of the project cost, to a maximum of $4,000. Please see the below information regarding this year’s funding round and feel free to share among your association.

A number of waterfront and private land projects are eligible, including:

  • Waterfront erosion control and protection
  • Waterfront naturalization (tree/shrub/wildflower planting)
  • Stormwater management methods (rain barrels, rain gardens, French drains)
  • Septic and well upgrades
  • Well decommissions
  • Tree planting

Community Association projects are also eligible (I.e. environmental education initiatives including website updates, brochures, community tree and wildflower planting projects, aquatic plant removal, etc.).

Click here for more information and to apply.

Feel free to reach out at 705-328-2271 x 242 if you’d like to schedule a consultation or help with your application.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Danielle
